Who is eligible to ride in Sagebrush programs?

Anyone 2 years old or older with physical, cognitive, emotional, behavioral or social challenges with a referral from a medical doctor, counselor, therapist, social worker, or special education teacher is welcome to apply for enrollment. How much does it cost to participate?

All Sagebrush programs are free of charge.

How do I become a volunteer?

How do I make a donation?

Click here and follow the directions on our donation page, or you may mail a donation to us at 100 Let’er Buck Road Hailey, ID 83333. We will send you a tax deductible receipt.

If I want to visit, do I need to make an appointment?

YES! We do prefer that a site-visit is scheduled. Scheduling a site-visit allows us to arrange one of our staff members to be available to escort you safely around the property and answer all of your questions. We do require all visitors to check in at the main office so if you are just stopping by please check in with us.

How is Sagebrush funded?

More than half of the operating expenses are derived from the "Cowboy Ball" Benefit Dinner/Dance held in July. The balance of funds are from grants and individuals.

Where can I get more information about starting a center or becoming a certified therapeutic riding instructor?

NARHA sets the standards for safety and education in the equine-assisted activities and therapies industry. For more information visit their website www.narha.org.

Are lessons for able-bodied riders available?

Lessons are offered through the Sagebrush Arena private lesson program to able-bodied riders of all ages and abilities in both English and western disciplines. Please contact private lesson coordinator, Kelly Cole for more information (208)788-9613 ext.103.

Big News!! SETCH has a new home! SETCH recently purchased the Swiftsure Ranch located two miles south of Bellevue. The property includes 191 acres with Big Wood River frontage, an indoor arena, an outdoor arena, two round pens, two barns, and pasture for the horses. Renovation will start immediately, and we will hopefully be at our new home summer 2012.
