All of our therapy horses have been selected for their quiet disposition, their patient and loving nature, and their desire to serve. They go through a training process so that they don’t mind students riding backwards, balls bouncing off of their bodies, ribbons flying, and music playing. They have the ability to reflect emotions from the rider, communicate unspoken meaning to the instructor, and provide the foundation from which the rider flourishes. They truly are the therapists in the riding sessions. Thanks for taking the time to get to know our herd!
Sponsor a Horse
Our special therapy horses work hard, always offering patience, strength, and understanding to our students without asking anything in return. They all receive the best care to ensure that they remain healthy, happy and comfortable. Between veterinary care, routine maintenance, hoof care, feed and supplements, the cost for one horse for one year exceeds $3,000. Please let us know if you are interested in sponsoring a horse for one year, or contributing to the cost of their care.
If you sponsor a horse for an entire year, you will:
- Receive a certificate of sponsorship with the horse’s picture
- Receive a tax deductible donation receipt
- Be recognized on the website, in the annual newsletter, and on the horse’s sign
- Receive periodic updates regarding your horse

Big News!! SETCH has a new home! SETCH recently purchased the Swiftsure Ranch located two miles south of Bellevue. The property includes 191 acres with Big Wood River frontage, an indoor arena, an outdoor arena, two round pens, two barns, and pasture for the horses. Renovation will start immediately, and we will hopefully be at our new home summer 2012.Help Now
