Patches was born in South Dakota and was donated by the Funke-Reike Family in 2006. She was a lesson school horse for able-bodied riders for her first two years at Sagebrush. She has recently become the most fantastic children’s therapy and beginner riding horse. She is the most gentle, kind horse who has quite an affinity for young children.
Patches is sponsored from August 2010 until August 2011 by Jim and Elma Cannavino!
Our special therapy horses work hard, always offering patience, strength, and understanding to our students without asking anything in return. They all receive the best care to ensure that they remain healthy, happy and comfortable. Between veterinary care, routine maintenance, hoof care, feed and supplements, the cost for one horse for one year exceeds $3,000.
